Joke Grenade Meeting Notes 2/25

Overview:
Just had a very productive meeting where we discussed a system for FTP'ing video for the Joke Grenade video section.  Fred Castleton will upload videos to the site when he finishes editing them.  Jeff will code them to the site from there.  Wham, Bam, Thanks, Dude!

eFrolics is going to launch in the social media phase 3 on or around May 21.  In the meantime, there will be a "coming soon" graphic on its home page.  The goal here is still to have about 100 (50 men, 50 women) profiles at the onset.  Stan and Fran advice column and a sex quiz remain the main draws so far.  Still open to new ideas here though.

Joke Grenade stamps and bugs are going to put on all of the video and artwork for branding purposes.  This fits into the branding launch (phase 1) on March 18.  Fred will get a viral video list from Jeff and Tito to begin branding video for this phase.   Jeff has already begun branding on the Best Sellers Gallery and will move on to My Child Needs Therapy, Jokeflix, the gallery about the Milky Way Makeover and the soon-to-be-created explosive joke grenades gallery.   The "Awful Tee Shirt" Gallery already has some branding that has taken place. All of this can be seen on the gallery page.

Pop Culture page has been mapped out and Tito and Jeff decided on leaving the Home Page at Five Headlines so as to not bog down potential visitors.  Instead of having old material cascade down the page, content will be replaced each time to fit into the five spots.

The Flagship Gallery

I am very fond of all of the galleries on jokegrenade.com as well as the unpublished ones under construction.  However, there is one art gallery in particular that trumps them all.  It is exclusive to Joke Grenade and has no equal in terms of originality.  My Child Needs Therapy: A Collection of Drawings That Never Made the Refrigerator is an offbeat collection of humorous drawings by fictional second graders who may or may not need immediate psychiatric help.

Parents usually love to show off their child's artistic endeavors, but the only person who will be seeing these drawings is the child's psychiatrist.  In these outrageous sketches, the kids share shocking misconceptions, divulge embarrassing family secrets and perpetuate stereotypes.  Along the way, their addled teacher adds running commentary in the margins, the reader gets a glimpse of some parent/teacher correspondence and some of the incidents are so over-the-top that they wind up in the local newspaper.

Updates to My Child Needs Therapy will be added over time as the collection will grow and grow in its new home on jokegrenade.com.  In addition to this gem, there is The Milky Way Ad Campaign about a once timid galaxy made-over into an edgy, self-confident player in the Universe.  Last but certainly not least, Joke Grenade sports a fake movie poster gallery called jokeflix, a gallery of bogus best-selling books and a T-shirt gallery loaded with inappropriate tees.

Along with the art, Joke Grenade has funny videos, ridiculous news headlines and stories plus a fake sex and dating site called e-frolics.  It truly is one-stop shopping for your daily laughter needs.

Seacrest Out,

Jeff the Graphic Designer
